Heavens ward PS4 physical edition

Hey i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me, i'm wanting to preorder heavens ward but there is only a physical copy at the moment, normally this would be fine but my disc tray does not work, i have a digital copy of the game on my ps4, i am wanting to know if i will need the heavens ward disc in to play the game or i will continue to be able to play freely due to my digital copy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There will be a digital copy coming which you'll be able to buy BEFORE the launch of the expansion (they have confirmed this), it's just not released yet. Unless you actually want the physical items (if this was the collector one you were looking at?), I would recommend just waiting a bit longer and buying the digital version.

As for if it'll need the disc or not, we don't know for sure, but the PS4 disc version of the main game DOES need the disc so possibly the expansion will too (no idea why since the PS3 version of the game with the disc doesn't need the disc once it's all installed).

Even if you buy the physical copy you should be able to download/add to mog station with the code that comes in the box and you can just ignore the disc.

My friend did this yesterday when adding the ps4 license to his account after I ordered a physical ps4 copy that I got for him on sale. I just sent him a picture of the code.

okay then that's good news as long as i can get the expansion when it comes out i'm not to picky if i get disc or digital, although it would be nice to get the collectors edition i will still be happy with the standard edition.

i thin you might have gotten something extra with the disc version for your friend, as when i had my disc version i needed the disc in to play, thats why when my disc tray broke i had to buy the digital version so i could continue to play.
