    Camera issue

PC client bug, camera slowly pans towards the sky and mouse wont control camera anymore... It also does this on character selection too. I have tried reinstalling the game, setting everything back to default, its not my mouse i checked, Im not using a controller, Its not my key board. It does nothing when i either right or left click although the buttons are working for other game functions other than camera. Other symptoms are that the camera will stop panning if i alt+tab to another window. I've done a clean boot, and reinstalled my peripheral devices as well. I don't have any third party stuff either.
For some reason it pans downward only i select the gamepad reverse Y axis and not the mouse one even though im not using a gamepad.

Have you tried replacing any batteries in the mouse? Also, I had a similar issue when my mouse was suffering interference from a USB 3.0 port which was putting out EMI every now and then. It caused exactly the same thing.

Try to remove anything that is plugged into a USB 3.0 port and only use 2.x ports to see if it makes a difference. After the battery check, of course.

If it's wired then you rule out the interference thing. You seem to have done everything I'd be able to suggest other than the last resort of a new mouse.

I know it's a pain and an unnecessary additional expense but could be worth a try. Even borrowing one would be worthwhile. I'm thinking along the lines of an irreconcilable software interaction between the game and the mouse system that may be resolved by using a new (probably brand name) mouse.

    Good luck!

Do you have the "Enabled Gamepad" box unchecked in the System Configuration -> Gamepad Settings? To me it sounds like a hooked up USB device may be interfering.

Sounds like a calibration issue or sticky button sort of problem. Check your bindings to see what controls are set for panning and what-not. Might point you in the direction of what may be out of sorts.

    Another suggestion:

I think when you reinstall the game, it doesn't remove your user folders? Your specific character data is still there if I recall correctly.

I'd try just deleting all of your user data from the FFXIV folder under 'My Games' and the login to the game to create a fresh set. That would clear out any potential corruption in the settings files that control your UI and controller data.

(of course, make a backup copy if you have settings you want to keep - but you may risk introducing the same problem if you copy the old data back...)

If the problem is not happening in Windows and only when you're in the game, then it has to be a configuration problem with the game settings.

I tried deleting the user data and it didn't help, it was a good thought though. I just cant turn my camera with my right click and my camera is constantly facing upward to the sky. If I use my arrow keys it'll move though. I've toyed so much with everything int he configuration options but nothings changed.
