    Saved Settings Between Computers

Hello all. I am new to the User Interface forum, so I apologize if this is common knowledge.

I have a question surrounding macros, hotbars, and general screen preference settings. I am looking to upgrade to new PC, and I am wondering if there is any way I can take all of my current settings and load them somewhere so I don't have to take hours to re-personalize all of my current settings.

On a similar note, I was wondering if there was a way to save your retainer and inventory setup between PC's as well. I have noticed when I play on another machine, my items are all jumbled and not arranged how I have it on my primary PC.

Any help would be appreciated. And since I'm not all that tech saavy, any step-by-step intructions would be especially useful.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Copy the folder "C:\Users\<you>\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn" from the old to new. It includes hotbars, macros, inventory sorting, HUD, and other similar things

There's another more cleaner way to do this is to go into your FF14 game folder and look for the ffxivconfig.exe, this will open the UI Backup Tool. Click "Backup" and save the generated FFXIVconf.fea file on anywhere in your current PC and copy over that .fea file to the new PC. Next, open ffxivconfig.exe again in your new PC, click "Restore" this time and select the FFXIVconf.fea again. You can ignore the "Do not overwrite older data" checkbox if you do not have any settings made in your new computer.

All your UI/hotbar/gearsets will retain the way you last save them. However, positioning of some UI will be off if your new PC's screen resolution is different.
