Unable to download patch files. [30413] [20496]

I have read many other threads and have yet to find a solution to this. Ever since the maintenance I have been unable to update to 2.57.
Things I've tried: Call ISP, Disabled firewall, making exceptions in the firewall, using the respective ports, resetting IE settings, ensuring IE settings are correct in the advanced tab, reinstalling, making sure there were no pending windows updates/installs, deleting old patch files, running compatability modes, running as admin, wired connection directly to modem, changing routers, the "msconfig startup fix". There's probably a few others that I can't think of right now.
SE support has yet to reply to my email. So I was wondering if anyone else had any ideas?

im having the same issue. i called se support, do you have dsl or sattelite connection? he said that the way they send the packets is that they pile up a chunk then send them instead of a constant stream. the updater is like a shitty version of a torrent downloader and if there is any delay in the download stream, it will recognize it as a stopped download and the downloader does not pick up where it left off. he reccommended i try to hook my pc up somewhere with a cable connection and download it that way. which is bullshit inconvienence. i plan to try today. ill let you know what happens. also, make sure you go to my documents>my games> and delete ffaar folder before you try to download again. that could possibly solve your problem. if it wont let you delete it, ctrl, alt, del and end task of ffaar updater. try that and see if it works for you. it just basically restarts the dl

Not running dsl or sattelite =\. And as for the other things, I've done all that allready pretty much after every fix i've tried. I dunno, I've been monitoring the connection and everything, havn't noticed any drops in anything. If it were that though I just find it odd that it fails between 40 and 50mb every time. I'm gonna try to get it done at a friends house. Just sucks, been playing since beta and have never had a problem like this, even with crappier internet that would have packet loss.

well, i tried last night on a cable connection and still got hte same thing. i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. made sure everything was gone, deleted the my games>ffarr folder, ran ccleaner to ensure no reg files behind. downloaded and installed this http://www.computerbase.de/downloads...-one-runtimes/
it updates all your netframeworks, c+ and other little things your computer needs. click the one for your operating system. restart computer, then try to reinstall the game. worked for me, so hope the same for you, sucks though cuz that was my last 3 days of my subscription. now i have to buy more time today
