They're either class/job locked (SCH AF [picture 1] and Cashmere skirt of healing come to mind) or un-dyable (Miqo'te [picture 2] or Hyur RSE)

I agree with this, for the simple reason that the Hussar/Fistfighter Jackcoat needs -- NEEDS -- a skirt that goes with them, because that would be an ultra-cute look.

I'd really like some skirts that are around knee length or just a smidge shorter or longer. A lot of the miniskirts get "lost" under longer body pieces, and I'm pretty sure that if my character were trying to battle a primal in a long skirt she would end up tripping on it and falling on her face. More in-between pieces would be great.

The problem is the way our legs are structured and modeled, it either has to be "short", like knee-length, or "long," like ankle-length, or else it looks very awkward.
Even the ones that LOOK like they're shorter than ankle but longer than knee, like the demon skirts, are really just using some aesthetic trickery to LOOK that length.

Every job can wear some type though (acolyte's skirt for DoM, foestriker's skirt and infantry skirt for DoM) as well as all the crafting miniskirts. The Halloween tights/skirt is also job free.

I agree dyable would be nice, but I would much prefer they focus on adding slightly longer skirts. If they can do it with the demon skirts, they can do it for others!
