Amazon preorder codes? Anyone?

Yup, Amazon is a participating retailer in the pre-order campaign and will be handing out pre-order codes in the future!

Someone may want to forward the SE sales team that Amazon is telling customers the pre-orders won't include the early-access and item-redemption codes. This is why a lot of people are unsure. They are receiving mixed messages between the two, with SE saying yes and Amazon saying no.

Can you be more specific? Ballpark? I havent gotten mine either and we're coming up on the last month. I plan on waiting to 2 weeks before early access before cancelling to avoid any unforseen hassles but id hate to go through the trouble and have them go out the next day.

I got the digital CE from Amazon and one of the Q&A's at the bottom says an Amazon rep specifically said they will not be giving them out.

UPDATE!: Just checked again, says the code will be going out on 6/19. Cutting it close... maybe too close for comfort. Looks like ill be having to deal with SE store again.

This, talked to them also, they said to contact SE about any pre order codes so somebody didn't get the pre-order memo.....

Glad Amazon finally updated the page. I am okay with them coming out 6/19, as long as there is no issue or lag time with getting the code and applying it to my account. I had Amazon gift cards that covered 3/4 of the price, so I am going to stick with Amazon.

I preordered from Amazon once.... once. My copy of Dragon Age Inquisition came out a week late. I already got the codes from GameStop & SE.

Amazon's description of how the codes work is:

Both Early Access and DLC will be run through one combined code that will be emailed starting 6/19. Once customers receive the codes, they will have to go to Square’s dedicated website, select their platform, and another code will be generated. They then take this other code and enter it into either PSN (PS3/PS4) or MogStation (PC).

So what is "Square’s dedicated website" for this? It sounds from that description like it's somewhere separate from the MogStation (though I'm not sure if that's the case).

I'd be okay with it if there's no issue with it. The problem is that with them not sending codes out until 4 days (and half of that a weekend) before release, that really doesn't allow much chance to find out if there's an issue with it and pre-order from somewhere else instead if there is. If we don't get our pre-order code from Amazon on the 19th, can we still pre-order from GameStop or somewhere on the 20th and really rely on the assumption that they'll be able to give us a pre-order code and not have run out of them by that point? Unfortunately, I don't know of any place whose pre-order service is really reliable enough to try doing it in the final couple days before release.
