I'm fine with the rewards from challenging content matching the difficulty. In the case of Steps of Faith, they opted not to include a reward to match the challenge, and instead reduced the challenge

I find the reward matches the challenge perfectly. There is no challenge, therefore there is no reward.
A dragon moves along and other adds spawn while an NPC shouts at you and tells you what to do.
