Do I really care about the people that send me friend requests? Sometimes yes, but most of the time no. I believe FFXIV should look at their policy of friend requests and revise it. By that I mean players should have to ask if they can send a friend request before they send it to another player. I have noticed that players harass other players simply by sending a friend request when the recipient has indicated in their Search Info window that they are not receptive to friend requests. This principle can also be applied to the requests to join a Free Company (FC). I have received numerous requests to join a FC when I have expressly stated in my Search Info window that I did not want to join a FC. Again, I feel it's a form of harassment because other MMOs have a setting whereby you can automatically refuse to join a FC (guild in other games). Of course getting SE to change that to a setting to automatically refuse FC requests is impossible. As one post said above, SE doesn't care about their North American (NA) players. It's SE's way or the highway. SE has put together a fun game; but it certainly has things that I would change because they are detrimental to the playing experience.
