A question for those running low level dungeons

Last night I was working on my warrior by running the low level roulette repeatedly and left the join in progress checked. When I got into one run where I was placed in a group in progress they said the previous tank had abandoned because he didn't feel like running Tam Tara and that it was common.

So my question is this really that common with low level dungeons?

To those who I may get teamed up with, I will not abandon you. I hope that I can continue to help others get their first clears of dungeons so they can enjoy this game as much as I do.

Tam-Tara is probably the second longest dungeon in the low level roulette; second to only Toto-Rak. Nonetheless, Tam-Tara can still be done without a tank. Just go through it slowly. But yeah, it's pretty common in these two dungeons specifically. Halatali and Copperbell come to a close third as well when it comes to it. Strangely, I've not heard much about Sastasha. o_0

To me Sastasha is by far longer than Tam-tara... Tam-tara its quite short, imo :/
Toto-rak on the other hand is loooooooooooong, and when you think its over after that one door, uh-huh!! More hallways!!

Tam-tara is short if you skip a lot of stuff.

I agree about Sastasha and Toto-rak. Tam tara barely even has any side rooms in it to distract you from running through the small couple of halls to deactivate the orbs and kill squidward. The group I joined was doing a good job fighting the mob they were at when I got there. Just seems weird to me that someone would queue for a low-level roulette knowing the possibilities of what they will encounter and then abandon after getting in. :/

“Common” might not be the right word to describe this. It is true that people do leave an instance at the very start if they don’t feel like doing them. Personally, i’ve seen more people leaving a dungeon after a certain boss battle, because they either got what they came for they didn’t get the item they wanted from that specific chest.

    Hear, hear! (^_^ )-b

I basically do the same thing. Back in 2.0 & 2.1 i regularly would jump into the low level Dungeon Queue to see if there were people who still needed their first clear of the place. But also to see if i would find people that could use some help with their classes.

As time passed on, i got a lot less time to do stuff like that (due to raiding, farming gear for upgrades, etc). But, since we’re only a little over a month away from the Heavensward release, i’ve been putting stuff on hold like crafting and gathering. So, i’m planning on queuing up for the lower level dungeons in progress as well as the Steps of Faith in order to get people their first clear in preparation of Heavensward.

It’s nice to hear that i’m not the only one out that who feels this way. (^_~ )-b +1 Like

I think I've seen the "I got/didn't get what I came for so...bye bye" and that's annoying too. It is good to see that others feel the same about helping the community clear content. Hopefully more who share the same sentiment will start or continue coming forward.

Idk, I've never understood this mentality, personally. I mean, of all things random in this game, roulette is where people can't put up with it? Just sounds silly to me. I always do wherever I get to, even if the group is bad I'm usually the last to leave. Strikes me odd to want to willingly eat a full half hour lockout instead of doing the dungeon. Even if tank queues are (usually) fast.

I would never abandon an instance just because I don't want to do it. I may whine about but unless something IRL comes up I won't leave. It's dumb.

Even with Toto-Rak which I'm pretty sure is my least fav dungeon. At least in Aurum Vale you have most of your attacks and buffs available. TR is just....agony
