So I D/C'd tonight during the touch up phase of a finished item

And I lost the finished item. Why is that? Who decided it would be a good idea to let the durability just keep ticking down if someone doesnt hit the finish button? On non finished items if you dont click the finish button it auto finishes by itself. Why in the world is that not the case for finished items?

Seems like the item should just auto finish like all non-finished items do.

I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

I thought if you dc'd during crafting it acted as if you never pressed any buttons, so I figured it would auto-complete if you dc at the end. I know if I let the time run out on a finished item normally it still completes.

Is it the first time you've dc'd while finishing an item? If it isn't and the other recipes you've dc'd on auto completed, I'd imagine its due to the timing of your dc, like you left the server before the timer ran out.

This was a first for me, I expected to see the item in my inventory when I logged back in but no luck. Cost my LS mate a Silver Tricorne :/

Wouldnt be so bad if i didnt D/C an hour or so before that and I lost a Uraeus Skin in the process. Yay for my ISP and our amazing crafting system stickin it to me!

    Dang that sucks ><

I can understand auto-failing when you dc in the middle of a craft but hopefully devs will take a look at making the item auto-complete when we're in the touch up phase and we dc.

    That really sucks =(
What's the chance a GM would help? Giving mats back or something?
I've never tried but then again I normally have it happen on 6kgil synths lol

I've had this happen and it was a pain.
Worst time I've had it happen was making a Thousand Needle.
sure they're cheap to make but it was +2 with about 70 dura left when I DC'd D:
