    Surprises me that se didn't add a reset in all those nerfs.
    I have not seen a "reset" option myself in FFXIV. It could just be that I have yet to enter a duty that has it, or it doesn't exist. In that case SE would have to create a whole new system and run tests and implement it in a way so it wont cause problems. Easier to just nerf it honestly.

    aww, the nerf to steps of fate I like how it was before but a lot of people complained about it so this needed to happen so hopefully people stop rage quitting from it, maybe the will make a hard mode or something for it to make it harder again but anyway ^-^ mean I can play it more with out people leaving.

    During 2.0 before everyone was overgeared? I seriously doubt that you zerged it without a good premade. After that?     And it doesn't matter if there's a loot reward or not. Some people play the game because they enjoy it, because they get fun out of playing something that doesn't make you fall asleep, and not because of "ph4t l00tz" that will be obsolete in a couple of months. Fun that they don't get if everything is a cakewalk, if the few fun things get unilaterally nerfed because some people can't stand that some content requires a little bit of their precious time. They are not even asking for everything to be like Coil pre-nerf, but to have something that required you to stay awake, like pre-nerf Demon Wall, Pharos Sirius, etc.

    What they're accomplishing with these nerfs is that people will keep expecting to faceroll everything in 2 minutes. And that's what's sad about this. Because SoF wasn't hard, and I doubt that no one would have had a problem with it if it was released back in 2.0. But nowadays everyone is in a hurry, expecting speedruns, ignoring most fight mechanics and bruteforcing them, looking up everyone's dps (even tank's) for the most easier content, having little to no patience with new players, etc. That's the direction where you want to keep going?

    I'm actually quite happy with the level of testing the current team engages in. It takes longer (other games would have a hotfix in for SoF within 2 weeks) but what we get actually works.
    Sure there's still bugs, but it's an MMO.
    Which is why i crawl down peoples' throats when they suggest super complex ideas for the game. Everything added to the game MUST be tested, and retested, and tested again with as many permutations as possible. There's a reason they started developing outfits for the Au Ra almost a year before even announcing them.

    Maybe they should make it that if everyone stays on the ground and nobody releases that the game registers it as a fail and resets the instance? Iunno, just spouting out ideas.

    All they really needed to do though, was increase the Tomestone rewards (15/7? Really?) and slap it in the Main Scenario Roulette. The issue was people abandoning it due to it honestly not being worth doing even if everything goes perfectly. Most of the nerfs we actually got were fine as well actually, but seemingly halving Vishaps HP is just beyond overkill... Vishap is effectively just a FATE boss now, you can ignore the mechanics and clear him with plenty of time, you can do the mechanics and do it faster. Either way the encounter has lost any sense of tension which made it fun and relevant to the story.

    Would still need coding as nothing at this moment tells the game when it would be a good time to reset.
    Normally a duty resets as the Boss doesn't have anyone to fight. But in Steps of Faith the boss ignores everyone and is after the Gate itself. So untill the gate (normally the players) is dead nothing tells it to reset.

    That's how I see it anyways. I got no wisdom of how coding and programing works.

    make the boss have a chance to drop a Pet and people would flood SoF again.
