Not surprised one bit. This is why I have no hopes of having anything outside Coil even remotely hard now.

I agree. If more people actually stayed and helped out less people would be stuck and there would be less reason to nerf it. Atleast to this degree.
I've been in WoD runs (when it still was new) where when we wiped on the first boss once people started to cast abandon duty and complaining in the chat. But with some extra effort on explaining the fights and let people learn them we finished WoD. We didn't even wipe again untill last boss, once.

I'm somewhat upset about the nerfs, not in that new players will have it easier, but to me it just seems like all those people that would abandon the duty at the start, instead of spending 2-3 min explaining fight, or coordinating strategy, have finally gotten what they want, they can faceroll the duty now and get their tomes, while 1-2 new players are wondering what the heck is going on.

Honestly - the Steps nerf isn't that big of a deal. At this point so many people still need to clear story to assess 3.0+ - it would be a bit silly to leave it at its current "Difficulty".

I'm not saying it's hard by any means! Just that most people who were going to clear it probably cleared it already, and outside of roulette which, come on we don't do for the challenge - we don't have a need to go back to Steps.


At least I haven't found a reason. =P

Interestingly, no one seems to be up in arms about the FCOB echo. So much for all raiders being "elitists". Appears the more casual player base is demonstrating this much lamented attitude over SOF. Oh, the irony...
