I wouldn't say pointless, it is definitely WAY easier. But with new people in the group everyone needs to be clear on what they're doing or it'll still wind up a catastrophe, or at least close to one now that it's nerfed.
Pretty much.
Just finished a run of it about 15 minutes ago - the biggest and most obvious change was the lowering of Vishap's health pool. We had him down about the time he was reaching the third Dragonkiller but after the explosive barrels, with no LB3, with a mix of more geared and at the requirement players.
The next biggest difference I noticed was the damage reduction and the result of that - with most adds not quite the threat they were before (turtle aoe took off maybe 50% of my health) it's easier to stay alive in general the whole through. Getting stepped on could still take someone out if they are less than 75% health though.
Missing the snares/DKs or running around like chickens could still lead to wipes, but it more forgiving overall.
