I like how SE added Biggs and Wedge from Star Wars into their games. For those who don't know, Disney acquired Lucasfilm a few years ago making Biggs and Wedge applicable to this thread.

Also the only characters to have a Triple Triad card in two different games with the same name that refers to two completely different characters (the primals/summons technically fall in the same category but their personalities are mostly non-existent in VIII, while the respective Biggs&Wedge duos are completely fleshed out.)

Saying they were added to FFXIV means just that. You should not misinterpret it as "added for the first time."

They were in 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 10-2, 12, 13, and 14. They've been around for awhile. :P

I mean.. I'm sure you already know this (and it might have already been said) but, Biggs and Wedge have been in many Final Fantasy and other Squaresoft/SquareEnix games. While they are a Star Wars reference, they've been in the series and other SE games long before Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars.

Biggs and Wedge are already since the classic games (everthing older than VII) part of the FF games. They are not new in XIV. You can say they are FF tradition, like Chocobos and Cid.
