    How to get game on new laptop?

    So im currently a subscriber and have game installed on my desktop, but i just purchased a nice new gaming laptop and was wondering if i would have to buy the game again to have on my laptop or where i could download the game! Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you

    If you have the PC version you can put it on any PC and play it.

    Just download the client, do all the patches and go ahead and log in.

    If you have a large enough portable drive or are saavy with mapping drives you can copy the updated files into the install folder after your initial install to speed up patching. The game's footprint is past 14GB now. A lot of data.

    May want to copy your character folder over too. It is under your My Documents/My Games path within a folder for FFXIV. Otherwise you may need to rebuild any customizations to things like HUD layout, crossbars, macros, and chat filters.
