Duty Finder cooldown

I am not sure if this is a bug or intended but it's frustrating.

I have currently experienced a duty finder cool down every time I time out on commence. I understand people abusing this feature but two things. One I had an animal get sick and had to check on it. I came back and my commence had come and gone but I was on a 30 minute cool down....I got penalized for checking something.

Secondly, and this is the really annoying one, I was in a group with 5 people. I hit commence but because someone was afk the commencement timed out. I was the only one in the group to get a cool down debuff of 30 minutes. I mean that doesn't seem fair that I got penalized for someone else not being at their computer.

This happen to anyone else? Should I report this as a bug? Please advise

No, this is how it's suppose to work.
For the first one, you have 3 strikes before you get locked for 30 mins.
Even if you queue in-progress and change your mind, you'll get strikes.
[Just click yes to the in progress one and leave if you want. They won't strike you.]

As for the pre-made one; yes it's shared. They figured since you're with x other people
you should all be 100% ready or not ready via communications.
So say you had those 5 people, queued for WoD, one of you afk'd you let the whole other teams
down and now they're waiting again. It's a one for all type of deal so it does suck tbh.
A full pre-made I believe, does not give a strike.

My advice, stop afking, don't play unless you know you won't get busy [Sometimes things happen.]
find reliable people to play with.

How long does your 3 strikes last? Is it forever or not?

Until the next day...The reset times I have no idea but I guess when daily stuff resets?

Either 24 hours, or until the daily reset. I'm unsure as I've never had this happen to me personally.

What I know the 30min penelty comes in effect on your 3rd strike, but every time.
Bad luck and timing on your sick animal (hope he/she feels better).

I have never heard of anyone getting the 30min penelty due to someone else being afk causing the timeout.

Edit: Reading comments here it seems that premade groups out of x people registre strikes aswell. Good to know (personally).

When you time out, it's just the same as clicking withdraw, if you withdraw 3 times in a 24hr period you will get hit with a lockout. It was added because we would be stood waiting for people in DF just to get a spam of "a party member has withdrawn" so you could get a wait of say 1m, but you could be sat there for another 5m seeing that people are withdrawing, most of the time it was people wanting an in progress group.

Also in your parties, you just need to ask if people are there or ready check, and don't queue unless everyone says they are ready.
