What is lich server like?

I've been pondering a server change and had a little poke around with an alt on the server just to get a feel for the economy and how many people were around. For those playing on the server what is the community like and how many FC's are recruiting? I'm looking to move to a smaller server right now the one I'm on every FC has hundreds of players and lots of drama so I'm hoping to find something a bit smaller with like minded people to progress in the expansion with all new content especially the new high end raids. Also with such a huge population and lots more coming back for the expansion i feel like it's only going to be stressful to log in and do quests because of so many players all trying to do the same thing.

Is there much of an English speaking community? I know a lot of EU servers have lots of non English speaking European FC's on them. If anyone can give me some good and bad points that would be cool.

Lich is decent I guess. I haven't played on other servers so I can't offer much comparisons but rather a general view.

Our server is pretty well-versed; we have a decent number of players playing all-around. While Lich isn't the most babbling placr for raiding, there are several PFs for pretty much all the turns and primals on a daily basis. There's also a considerable number of crafters, spirit bonders, social/leveling FCs and the like. All-around I would say it's pretty balanced. If you are looking for mostly raiding purposes though, Ragnarok is the best bet atm.

Most of the players on the server are speak English. There's some specific German/French/Italian FCs and/or communities, but most of the playerbase can and will generally comminicate in English. There's currently quite a bunch of FCs recruiting for whatever purposes one needs (raiding, social, crafting, progression).

Pros;
-Versatile
-Populated, but not over-populated
-Various FCs to suit ones playstyle
-Pretty stacked PF on prime time
-Mostly nice and English-speaking community. Don't see much elitists around.
-Decent raiding chances

Cons;
-Not the best server for raiding
-Not much activity on PF on off peak-times
-Versatile but probably not the best at anything

I play mostly on off-hours, and while it can be pretty empty I don't mind that as much (and neither does my computer...hoo boy). There are tons of people on during the weekends however.
The community is pretty nice, many new people and many end-raiders. You shouldn't have much trouble finding a static if that's what you want. I see lots of smaller FCs recruiting too, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Lich is mostly English speaking; probably the second biggest language I see is German.

The marketboard isn't super vastly inflated, either, at least from what I've seen of other servers and compared. There is maybe, three or four housing plots (mostly M and L) left in each ward last time I checked, so if you're interested in that....better find an FC with a house.

The economy seems reasonable compared to some other servers i looked at with really screwed up MB's due to them being ghost towns. Stuff that costs 1 million gil when it costs pocket change on Balmung it was pretty funny. From what you guys describe it seems like what I'm looking for. Yeah i want to do endgame but i don't need to find some static of big time charlies who have a stick up their ass i just want to find people who enjoy endgame progression without turning it into their job or waving their e-peen around. I usually prefer smaller servers anyway the reason i chose a populated one this time was to play with friends who are no longer playing or who i don't really talk to much anymore and i lost interest in the whole RP thing on Balmung it's full of drama queens and people just using it for cybersex.

I know a static on Lich looking for a whm for 3.0 progression if so (Call me recruitment Gaia) And they don't wave their e-peen about We are in the same Fc and they are a bunch of nice people

Yes i main WHM and also am gearing BLM up which i play on the side. Will likely level AST too in time as i enjoy healing classes the most. I'm not sure of the exact time of changing servers but likely in the next week once i finish things up on Balmung and dependent on when servers open up for new characters. It's kind of a pain with how it is i considered some other servers but they are totally locked to everyone apart from certain times.
