Future Gil Farmer Services Exploiting Behest EXP Bonus

I'm always seeing a group of players standing around at camps wearing level 1 equipment. I play on Rabanastre. The other day, I was at Nophica Wells and I saw one of these people Rank Up while standing by the aetherite. Shortly after, a semi geared character appeared and teleported them to a different location. Seven characters, wearing full level 1 equipment, in the level 30 range.

Thus I began my own investigation.

I had my brother hop online, group me, and stand at Camp Horizon. When the behest NPC popped, we both signed up for behest, yet he remained at the camp for its duration. After I finished killing the final mobs, he received the skill point bonus as if he had fully participated.

Now - although this may not seem like a major issue, having played FFXI for many years, the presence of Chinese gil farming services was catastrophic. The economy got trashed; unfair competition at NM camps; all the locusts that come following the plague.

Please, take care of this. Do not allow people to receive the skill point bonus without killing a mob &/or being near the final mob that dies. Yes, they could easily just autofollow the one client who is killing the mobs - but at least they would have to alt-tab 7 times to engage mobs and such.

I don't know.

Figure it out before its too late. This game is already in trouble. Don't need to let this kind of thing ruin any chance of future success.

For a matter such as this, I would like to recommend that you report any players you believe might be involved in real money trading to the Special Task Force.
