Made a post about this a couple of months ago and we had a good discussion about this. I try to remove any time I can but without some sort of heads up it's tough to remove it quickly. Most of the time when I see it, I'm mid cast on another spell. I've seen a couple of tanks use macros that say "need leeches in 4...." makes it 100% easier on everyone.

As someone who doesn't get a lot of TP from his support, my pacification is my me-time. I actually go out of my way to tell people not to esuna/leech my pacification. I'm not expecting to be ready to attack in those five seconds, nor do I really wish to.
Yes, it's a huge DPS gain for the warrior, but in larger, longer fights (looking at you, coil) my TP drain is a serious concern. And my tank build has 0 added skill speed at that! Rockin' that slow 2.5 GCD.

On the subject of overall esuna/leech uses, I find a lot of healers don't think they can remove it since there's a lot they can't, and simply never try. Odin is a fine example. I can straight up tank that guy the entire fight if a healer can keep on top of the stacking vulnerability debuff he gives me. But more often than not, most healers simply don't think they can, so they don't try. And it leads to my death oh so often.
