Concerns about Airships in 3.0

So personally I love the idea of FC Airships and I was really excited for crafting my own Airship. Well. Okay I'll share with the FC but still, but surely there is a major balancing problem on high population servers that have all their plots filled?

I mean I know plenty of FCs that are just as viable to have access to Airships as any other FC but simply because there is literally no space in the housing wards essentially limiting and sectioning off an entire side of the gameplay from them, the only solution being to leave and join FCs with housing or just listen to how rad it is to have your own Airship while you're stuck homeless AND without an Airship.

I mean is this going to be addressed at all? I've always wondered why there is not a small apartment like housing that FCs can move into, like a guild hall they can go to before trying to move out of it and going to one of the Housing Wards, I was seriously hoping that with Ishgard we were going to get an apartment just like the Cinematic Trailer shows.



Wouldn't this solve some of the issues?
Having it set that when you walk/warp to your apartment you are just in the apartment and it doesn't have an external part. Even if you wanted you could have the gardening bonus of having a house come from say having a planter hang out your window that has space for like 3 plants. Having it small and limited but unlimited in the number available seems like a great idea. Anyone else agree?

your best bet is :
1. Become a believer and pray new housing ward open in 3.0
2. Buy house from someone else

If you decide to pray & work out:
1. Give members (you trust) the right to take money & buy plot
2. Put on a tent & camping in housing area for quick load & fast teleport to new ward and get ready for the housing rush fever !

tips: DO NOT aim for small house, DO aim for medium & large (if you happen to run into a small house & you are cheap, by all mean go for it but a backup plan is need)

Errr, FC Airships and personal airships are two very different things. You will get your own airship, which is a flying mount, regardless of being in an FC or not. The FC airship will be used for small expeditions to areas not shown on the map. In 3.0 the FC ship will just be sent on a journey withouth players and will essentially work like a retainer shared among FC members. Later you will get the chance to board the ship with the FC and use it to discover treasure, notorious monsters or corpses of notorious monsters.

This is exactly what I mean by all the things an FC without housing will miss out on. We all pay for the same game it seems crap that some miss out just because there is no room.

Untill now the only difference between having and not having FC housing or housing was the unability to do gardening.
Maybe, the whole airship thing will bring even more possibilities for FC house owners (including way to make gil, maybe trough the exploration airship missions which could reward special materials and things) and the differences between the rich and poor will be even bigger.

Well atleast I am on the bright side of this problem so I wouldn't have to sleep in box under a bridge while other FCs will rock their brand new airships and make millions.

Welcome to the complaints that people have had for 7 months now.

I would suggest rerading all of the previous complaints, and then compiling all of them for your ideas.

You have a couple options:
1. join an FC, or if you lead one, merge your FC with an FC that has a house, and has similar goals. I'm sure you can find one.
2. transfer to a new server, and convince your friends to do the same. how much are airships worth to you? will that price cover everyone's transfer costs, that you actually want to bring?
3. Miss out on the initial rush, wait for new housing wards, and be ready to buy up a house when they are released.

Im not excited about Airships. Im pretty sure they will cost Millions of Gil(for materials?) <.<
