3.re-stabled chocobo and re-logged and went back nothing changed
4.chocobo exp stuck at Exp stuck at 80813/82000 and at level 3

The Karakuls are just too low of a level (36). The chocobo can only earn exp relative to your own level. If the monster is over 9 levels below your own (at lvl 50 that means 40 or less), the bird cannot earn exp.

This is by design.

Solution: Farm something of higher level. The floating orbs at Rathefrost in Mor Dhona spawn relatively quickly and are lvl 48.

I would think he is going for the karakul for their drops. If that's the case, I would suggest the snurbles in the burning wall. They sell better on my server last I looked, and they die fast going solo, would be even faster with a choco.

Chocobos have same level as you do, to gain BLUE exp (chocobo's ranking).. the difference gap between your & your chocobo levels should not exceed 10 levels (it was to be 5 levels few patches ago).

Karakuls are Lv.36, so you can gain Blue Exp only if you level up the chocobo when you're in a class/job which is no more than Lv.46 (Lv.36+10). If you want to farm mats while gaining Blue exp for your choco, you need to kill mobs with at least Lv.40 if not Lv.41.

Other than that, the only way to gain Blue exp with lower level mobs is joining FATEs, because your Level will be synced (along with chocobo's).

Once you hit Chocobo rank 10, you won't gain any blue exp untill you feed it a Thavnarian Onion which increases the Rank cap +1 up to Rank 20.

note: Rank isn't the same as Level.
