WHM T13 Questions

The way my WHM and I handled P2/P3 Gigas (the Giga that transitions into these phases) and Rages was that he would Medica and I would pop Whispering Dawn and we just focused the tanks and let my fairy top us and the DPS off. Our OT also pre-positioned himself to where the add spawns and would have a Butcher's Block ready to pick it up, we rarely ever had any hiccups where it would murder the WHM. As for healing us up before Rage right after Megaflare he would Cure III us as we would all stack behind Bahamut after the stack Mega goes off so they're all in a Sacred Soil (I place it around Bahamut so I can get the MT in it) and while he's healing the group I'm usually focusing the MT and anyone who wasn't in for Cure III. This is just how we do it, it honestly just depends on how your co-healer and you work together.

Hey Ehr. I haven't used Eos all that much in anything to be honest. (Oh yeah, i have switched to scholar since opening this post and killed t13 guys ^^). I prefer the bonuses that using selene brings. But yeah, i'm definitely gonna have to go back in and try to clear this as a white mage too.

Eos can be useful if your feel that your group needs the extra room for error that she can provide. With 15% echo my group destroys the DPS checks, so I'll sometimes run Eos if I think that people are going to do derpy things like clip each other with Megaflares or fail to stack as quickly as they should since the added HoT from Whispering Dawn and the buff from Fey Covenant can help guard against these mistakes.

Of course when I play BLM I would prefer the SCH to use Selene so that I can enjoy pew-pewing faster, and everyone else be damned if they mess up :P

I use Selene for phase 1 but at the Giga I switch to Eos. We had more than enough DPS to meet the DPS check and my group said they really like having Fey Covenant for Rages and Gigas. Another reason I used Eos was to try to help the WHM with some MP conservation. However this was before Echo so I could probably just use Selene the whole time.

Medica 2 just before giga on add phase
Cure 3 on pepperonis if in tower, medica otherwise, then medica 2 just before and the fey tops off as needed.

Killed it as whm a few times now, have to say, it was much easier after learning the damage flow of the fight as a scholar. Advice to any whm struggling with the same thing i did, *learn when you can lay off healing and let the scholar fairy handle it*

Grats on your win, and totally good advice. The only thing I would add for any WHM is really trusting your HoTs to top-off the raid. Not only will it save your life (pulling drake aggro after P1 giga), but trusting the fairy to top-off when needed also helps one learn to manage MP so well that it'll never be an issue unless you have to raise people.

Trusting your co-healer in T13 is very important. If either of you are slacking then the other will be forced to over-compensate and it can make things really difficult as the fight drags on.

Unfortunately yeah, about 20 kills down the line i've yet to see either scholar book or white mage staff. Lucky this gear is going to become very obsolete very fast lol.
