Bug: Items do not stack when more than one stack of same item

For instance if you have 99 Iron Nuggets and another stack of 5 Iron Nuggets, if you deplete the first stack by 8 nuggets, you'll be left in your inventory with a stack of 91 Iron Nuggets and another one of 5 Iron Nuggets, and trying to toggle on/off Sort will not correct this.
