Request for when 2.0 areas are updated for flight.

It will not be possible to fly in A Realm Reborn areas, as the maps were not originally designed to allow for flying. We might address this one day,

This will probably already be in the works when the development team gets to it but I must humbly request the removal of the invisible walls that plague the 2.0 areas. I understand that for the most part there is not much beyond what we can see from these walls. But in the future when these areas are updated for flight, I would like to be able to land and perch on to new heights to see these new vistas.

A lot of the zones make me feel like I am trapped inside of an artificial barrier. Everywhere I go, I see so much potential for areas to be explored. And after seeing that video where the flying chocobo is hovering over water and making it splash, it made me wish we could at the very least swim on the water's surface and have the ability to call forth a row boat or kayak where we could fish from or just enjoy the scenery alone or with a friend.

Are there any places in Eorzea you wish you could get to but is blocked by artificial or invisible walls?

This brook here is blocked by an invisible wall.

Another potential pathway blocked.

Unexplored lands that can potentially be made available in the future if the dev team updates this area for flight.

I have read that quote in the past. My request is for when or if the development team eventually start to work on the 2.0 areas for flight in the future.

For personal experience, every time that a dev says "maybe later, but we are focusing in other stuff" about something that I would like to see, it means that they will add that feature when I don't longer play that game

One of my motivations for this thread was witnessing Revenant's Toll grow into what it is now. That and seeing the development team open up areas previously inaccessible to make a home for the friendly beastman tribes. I would be so ecstatic if the 2.0 areas got that treatment by removing the artificial barriers and expanding the view for flight.

If we were able to take flight now as the zones currently stand, we would be able to see a cutoff of land.

North Shroud, bridge near blessed bud, there is an area right next to the bride close to a very calm waterfall - can't walk through that 4 inch water .... >.< lol
