Anyone deterred by 10hrs of gameplay in an MMO before they get to what they are working towards would not make it very long at all in endgame. I've spent countless hours working on just one relic and I'm still working on it. They will undoubtedly nerf or ease the restrictions on quite a bit of content so if someone wanted to they could blow thru that story pretty quick. Especially if they are the type that doesn't care about the story and only the shinies.
