When/Why were you vote kicked?

Last week, someone said something very sarcastic to the new person in CT. So I responded with some sarcasm about expecting people to know things without letting me explain. Was called dome rude words and was vote kicked. I find it funny now, but still reported it.

I find the vote kicks for limit breaks pretty crazy. Nothing worse than for me as a tank to use stun to interrupt attacks and increase the LB quickly, so it is full by first boss, only to have it sit there for the rest of the instance untouched until the final boss. A good party can fill that sucker 2 or 3 times! I have blasted the tank LB on final bosses before when they were down to .0001% just because I didn't want to waste that sweet yellow nectar.

And in PUG groups, surely gear is free for all. Though I must admit, I have started greeding everything now.

Well some of my kicks i did deserve for mouthing off i have a short temper sometimes and start getting in arguments so get kicked which is probably better for all involved. Other times it's not justified like using the Healer as a scapegoat and kicking me. Had a couple of runs where people are running in circles screaming getting hit by stuff and somehow I'm expected to keep everyone alive or I'm bad and should be kicked. Amusingly a lot of the best WHM heals are group ones where people are good if they stand close together and stop spreading out all over the place.

Not had too many ridiculous kicks the one i always recall was leveling BLM i got AV on low level roulette and this one WHM was a self important twit from the start he just stood there doing nothing saying "full run" i'm just like "protect would be nice" he does it mid first pull. He's not even a decent Healer at all but when we get to the room with the eggs i blast a few forgetting about the XP from letting them hatch and God Healer decides he doesn't like that and he's all "Do that again and i leave" i just said "Fine you can leave and i'll ask a proper Healer from my FC to come finish" and then i found myself kicked. Considering his attitude i was kind of surprised the other two took his side but whatever.

That's why I personally pass things I don't have use for, like all that i100 gear that drops from dungeons. There's a few notable items like the i100 Dex/Det/Crit ring that are an upgrade from a PVP perspective that I've rolled Need on (since Frontlines is lvl synced to i80) but I also told the party I grabbed it for my PVP loadout and I've passed the subsequent ones that dropped. I've seen a few i100 Mind/Crit/Det items there O would have loved to have had, and they weren't an upgrade for the healer unless they wanted them for PVP and odds are they didn't... they rolled Need, I accepted it and moved on... if a Healer or Tank Needs everything for desynth/seals then the other players see their odds of getting my commendation go up drastically, but I don't kick people who aren't breaking the rules.

Speaking of getting kicked, how's this story.... throughout an ST run a Dragoon in our party was griefing and annoying people in the party and alliance, constantly marking/remarking party and alliance members, etc. Someone in the party tried to vote dismiss them after a boss, it failed, I'm like WTF. Final boss they're still doing it, finally they mark me as Target to Attack 1 and I lose it on them. I'm like this is why you should vote Yes on vote dismiss.

Obviously I wasn't thinking at all, the reason the vote kick failed was because 4 of the party members were from the same FC and I think a 5th might have been with them since they all came from Excalibur. The tank had aggro on the boss and must have done something intentional to lose it because they did and the raid wiped. So I try to use my vote kick on the dragoon but I can't because it says a vote dismiss vote was already in progress. And the I got kicked.

Yep that's right, people who joined ST together were able to insulate one of their members from a vote kick and let them harass people as much as they wanted... and then those of us who didn't like that were the ones who got kicked at the last boss, perversely enough. I reported all of them, though I doubt SE did anything about it. IMO though vote kick shouldn't be usable as a harassment tool by people who preform part of the party that will always outweigh the rest.

Well I said they were an 'FC' I should have said they were a lolFC since I looked them up on lodestone and they only had like 8 members and not even a house. And since I own my own house (with a very profitable garden, and a couple of beautiful cherry trees blooming in the yard, my own material suppliers and mender, multi-use food placed as furnishing, etc) I just wanted to mention that here in case they ever read this.

I got kicked from WoD where 6 from 8 of my party alliance which was made out of 6 F clients suddenly stood still and got locked out in front of first triple Garms fight.. Only me (BLM) and a healer went into battle.. A player from another alliance went raging on how could 6 players getting locked out, then i just said "They are French, they cant understand you" in alliance chat.. Then i got kicked...

Well, you desserve this if i say so ^^. I'm french and can understand (and speak) english. And i'm not an exception. Not everyone show her/his currently speaking languages in the game. The only thing you can see for sure is the actual client's install language. I could have installed my game in english (thinking about it in fact) and never show my real language in the game if i wanted to.


To stay in the subject, only kicked twice :
- first time at CT3, first boss just after the third wipe when told the entire raid to maintain the boss still and not let him to rotate on himself (best thing to do if you want to kill the raid ...). Somewhat happy for the kick anyway .
- second time, yesterday at Titan Ex (fist time for me), took some tries to aprehend/learn the actual fight, but maybe this angered the others who just want to do the "pony farm" ? Not even be sad for this, will try this primal later ...

Got kicked yesterday in Ramuh EX. Group wiped a couple times. Healer wanted to vote abandon. They got voted down. He said to kick him. We wouldn't, told him if he wanted to leave, then leave and take the lockout. Then I got kicked so he could leave without penalty.

Wait, vote kick got shot down, so did vote kicking the whm, but vote kicking you so he could dodge penalty was no problem? O.o
