When/Why were you vote kicked?

The one and only time when I was vote kicked was during a WOD. The healers were absolutely horrible, standing around doing nothing while people were dying. So, I made a comment along the lines of, "it would be really nice if the healers would actually heal." Got vote kicked for asking someone to do their job. It was grand.

I only got kicked once and that was from me running off the game to attend to a RL emergency. I told the party what happened before I left and I didn't care that I was booted.

I did a High Level Roulette and ended up in Haukke Hard.
The Paladin was a first timer, and came in with a Bard (unbeknownst to me). After the first two trios of key-holding mobs, the Paladin has to go for a minute. I shrug it off, easy enough dungeon at i120, me and the other DPS (a Monk) power through the next few doors and the Manor Ogre just in front of that little trio of imps... and after refreshing Stoneskin / Protect on everyone, I'm kicked.
The Monk, who happened to be on Sargatanas as well, defended me and was kicked promptly after. We had a chuckle over it.

My Class: Black Mage
Reason for kick: Needing on Black Mage Gear.

Apparently the other Black Mage doesn't realize that it's perfectly okay for another person using the same class to need on gear for GC Seals, Glamours, or whatever. I would assume that the 3 Lalafells I was paired up with were friends from the same server or they felt the same way about me being a ''gear ninja''... Either way I shouldn't have been kicked and the developers need to look at this issue... We all put a ton of time into this game grinding for our relics, levels, gear, whatever it may be.... and to be kicked from a dungeon for needing on gear is not right. If I gotta go through the same dungeon 100 times to get 1 piece of gear so should everyone else!

I'm not changing how I play so kick all you want...

If the piece of gear is not an upgrade for you but is an upgrade for the other blm you are a dick and in the wrong and deserve the vote kick. If it's not an upgrade for either then I have no issue with people needing things for seals or glamour.

What if the other BLM downgrades their gear so that it looks like anything special that drops is an upgrade? If I trade out my i130 shoes for i110 ones and then run WoD and i120 ones drop... someone else running with that class might have i120/130 Poetic tome shoes, and I could say 'Look it's an upgrade for me mine are only i110!' and if that player passes then they fall into my armory chest right next to my i130 shoes they don't know I have. But if we both want them for our retainer then we each have as valid of a claim on them as the other.

I really hate this kind of culture..
For me, i wouldn't examine people's gear.. Be it excellent, good, or bad, i'll treat em all the same and wont judge anything. I'll need/greed whichever gear i want, will consider if someone ask me to pass, but the reality is that people with lower tier gear wants to be entitled of them self when they don't even say a single word up until i loot the items and they go raging over it or sulking or questioning my behavior..
If they ask me where is my manner in helping new player, i can ask back "Where is thy manner in hoping to get something without saying a single word?"

You just sound like an entitled prick. Cry more. The loot system dictates that no one is more deserving of a piece of gear just because of their current ilevel. A player is not in the wrong for needing on gear that they have the ability to need on. If I'm not notified of a player seeking upgrades, I need on everything I can for seals. That does not make me selfish.

Everyone participating in an instance has equal entitlement to loot, regardless of what they need it for. It doesn't deserve a kick. If you are lower geared you can ask the group if they could pass on gear for you, but it shouldn't be expected that anything is automatically yours.

Wrong. If someone puts in their time, effort and proceeds through the dungeon with a bunch of strangers and does their job effectively, and a piece of gear they want drops, they have every right to need on it. You vote kicking for that is a violation of the vote kick feature, and you deserve to be reported.
