That was a mistake![]()

I'm all for a sparring system. How else are the adventurers of Eorzea supposed to keep sharp during lulls in threats to the land?
Honestly I wouldn't mind having a dueling system, I wouldn't use it but what ever. I would however like to ask they they put some thought into spicing up what they have before adding more. If they gave us ten different pvp modes that were all boring wouldn't that just leave us with ten boring modes instead of two?
I don't pvp btw, I try not to que so much in my ffxiv life

dueling?
i suppose on a positive note the carpenters will be getting a massive demand for coffins.

couldnt you just disappear into the ascian world and dual there then it wouldnt even bother anyone btw ive been asking for duals since beta lol
another thing they could do is let non participants bet on who they think will win

A duel/sparring system in this game would be absolutely pointless. The way the skills and classes work would just make for completely one sided fights and boring ones at best.

Then whats the purpose of the Wolves Den? or Frontlines? Because "The way the skills and classes work would just make for completely one sided fights and boring ones at best." Honestly? What you said is dumb and really doesn't make sense since we already have Arena's and Frontlines which Wolve's Den could be a fixed match between 8 players where they decide to see who would win in a 1 on 1.
So technically we already can 1 vs 1 if it's a fixed match in Wolves Den. What these people are suggesting is to have one outside wolves den or frontlines. It's not pointless and it's not boring, because you're fighting another person, Not fighting a monster with a pre-determined AI.
Fighting a pre-determined AI is more boring that fighting a person, because you have to time and counter with certain skills in order to effectively combat another player. Because people are unpredictable. Monsters and Dungeons/Raids are predictable, wheres the fun in that when you know what to do as soon as the dungeon starts?

Really?, you don't get why team objectives drastically change PVP in this game?. There is only group PVP BECAUSE of the way this game works..Then whats the purpose of the Wolves Den? or Frontlines? Because "The way the skills and classes work would just make for completely one sided fights and boring ones at best." Honestly? What you said is dumb and really doesn't make sense since we already have Arena's and Frontlines which Wolve's Den could be a fixed match between 8 players where they decide to see who would win in a 1 on 1.
