For WoD I queue as a DPS, because I can get in much faster than if I went as tank.

I'm all for adding a third DPS for future dungeons. Current dungeons shouldn't be adjusted though.

Right at this moment there are probably hundreds of people who rather decided to take their chocobo for a casual stroll over the Eorzea than queue up.
No it wont. It will make them longer for dps. Tanks/healers don't have this problem since they don't have to wait for a queue most of the time. The queue up when they are ready, no need to pull a choco out since it won't be long. This will just add more to the dps poll then the others. That said I still hope they allow us to queue with a choco, I just don't see it helping queue times. It will just make them more tolerable.

This. A thousand times this. There's a huge imbalance in this game, and at least trying to shuttle more DPS in a group will help alleviate it. Especially since SE seems to not want to change tanking/healing to be more enjoyable for the general player base, it'll at least mitigate the wait time a bit.

    que times

played one mmo that fixed the problem. they made all dungeons have a solo option to them. it made them easy to do but downfall you didnt get any items from them. they did it so you could complete a quest and for leveling.

How often do you actually wait as DPS?

I admit queuing as DPS in low lvl dungeon takes time (15 to 30min) but for high level ones I wait less than 5min...

Just did back to back runs last night on DPS farming for dark light gear for glamour - barely had to wait

Always, from 10 minutes to sometimes 30min or more. Average around 16/18.

No, NO. Never do this. Most of the "in progress" parties I join are the ones with the tank already left, and there's only 1 or 2 people left inside finding new members. So now you're stuck on some dungeon with no tank, and if you leave and re-queue you restart your long DPS queue timer! Now, I'm sure some of you will ask, "Why not just simply wait for a tank to queue in-progress?" Because in those instances, other people, especially the healer, will just quit and re-queue, leaving only me or 2 dps waiting for a tank AND a healer. This is why I no longer queue "in progress" as DPS for low-level roulette.

This is another change I'd like to see. An in-progress queue should only pop when it can refill the ENTIRE PARTY.

I got matched on an in progress queue for DD the other day where they'd already rushed through the first hallway, killed everything and quit. Total waste of half an hour DPS queue. And I never queue in progress as tank, because it means the previous tank either quit or got kicked, which are usually pretty good indicators of a failgroup.

Only time I ever queue for in progress is CT raids when I'm only in it for the weekly, or if it's WOD and I don't need anything from the first bosses on that class.

Queuing is only irritating when that 1 player withdraws after I already waited awhile. Other than that, waiting 30-40min doesn't bother me.
