look at this from the recent live letter :

Alexander (Normal) Loot System - Treasure coffers in each area contain special items which can be exchanged for gear

From each level one of these items may be obtained per week

Items can be traded for the gear of one's choice (no more of "dam.. always dragoon drops")

Type of quantity of special items needed varies with type of gear they are to be exchanged for... One special Item A can be traded for an accessory... or Four special item B can be traded for one piece of body armor

Slide mentions "detailed description of the system complete with item names will be included in patch 3.01 notes"

You can do 4 levels in Alexander, so you can get upto 4 tokens in a week

4 weeks after HWs, the Savage Alexander will be released and the loot system will be different.. more on that with next Producer Letter (only maybe troublesome part here.... hopefully they dont hide massiv rng there)

while you still need to roll on these tokens it seems this is still ALOT better than the terror RNG we had before which didnt reward some of us after MONTHS of playing. sure everyone is gonna roll on these tokens basicly like sands and oils but atleast you now HAVE something you CAN roll on each kill. not seeing DRG loot over and over and over again. i am so glad this happens finally. coil rng was really killing will to play recently.

You can go back to Alexander and do the run as many times as you want.. but if you do Need, then you wont be able to get a new one until next week... basically "Crystal Tower" style system but without seeing the same class gear drops again and again.

I wish I saw half as much DRG gear as you seem to have seen. All I ever see is Mage gear and Mnk items

alex hm is akin to something like ct. The gear wont be that good.....and u can bet a lot of gil alex savage will have a loot system as bad ( or pretty close ) to the old coil system. It still makes me happy however....

If you can only do alex once a week and only get 1 per level and need 4 then basically a static of 8 will get one piece of armor a week instead of 8 as it would have been with old system. Or maybe i missunderstood.

Actually the static would run it 8 times so all 8 members would have 4 tomes.

And it seems like only some items will cost 4 while some will cost as lite as 1.

there are 2 different tomes, 1 for accessories, 1 for gear

Did they say that completing a level only drops one of the items? You can only get one but it might still drop more so not only 1 person in the party get one each time.

Not to my knowlage. Though they are preliminary notes so that may be why some of the information seems rushed or vauge is due to it being in final ajustment phases.

ex primals work the same. 10 kills per weapon of your choice. everyone in group gets a token each kill. 10 tokens needed. guess the raid will be somewhat the same. only bad part : the hunt is back. i170 can be upgraded to i180 making bismarch primal worthless since he drops i175 weapons. ravana ex gives i190 weapons which are currently the best ones. need to beat bismarc ex once to unlock ravana tough.
