Malboro, rated a 7. The community as a whole seems cool, and I haven't met too many trolls. It's just a PITA to get any FCoB training done. V.v

Ragnarok, 8/10.
Not much to say, have fun doing frontlines with adders, pony farms with peeps, I used to do a bit FCOB farming too and I have met only a few trolls.
I have been on Ragnarok since 2013 and I am definitely satisfied.
I block everyone who acts offensive or joins farm parties while not knowing what to do or wiping us all the time, so I actually spend my time only with a good people.![]()

I'd give Gilgamesh a 5/10. You have a 50/50 chance to have either a really good or bad experience, unless you stick to your inner circle. It's a mixed bag. If the server was a person he'd be bi-polar. I remember some really great times with PF PuGs. Made many friends throughout my time on the server. I also remember putting up a PF for an ex primal farm, and getting viciously mocked/sworn at in /tell for making a small mistake in my ad(small mistake like a spelling error). And it was done by someone in a big FC. I guess they had a bad day and decided to take it out on a random... or he felt like trolling. I just blocked them and moved on but I'm sure some people would have gotten super upset.
DF is based around data center not server :P , but yeah 5 for moogle here , some nice ppl , and some really nasty ones...I am on Moogle EU. I would say that in my personal experience, the community of my server and often data centre are fairly negative. Moogle is half English, half French. I feel that in general, when Duty Finding any piece of content you are tasked with at least 1 (usually more) player who meets one of these requirements: Outright rude, ignorant, lazy and/or AFK, selfish, trolls who intentionally disrupt the content by causing wipes, abrasive, low skill (in high level content).
Of course there are also nice people, but often times those players are part of a smaller clique which is fine permitting you are part of said clique, otherwise you will rarely play with or interact with these people.

I'm on Mateus and I would give Mateus a 9 as far as the community is concerned. We have a terrible plague of RMT on the server, but other than that everyone is friendly and usually willing to help when asked. At least that's been my experience thus far. Also, I voted a 9 on the straw poll. The FFXI community, when I played was incredible and is the only reason why I couldn't rate a 10 on the straw poll.
Ragnarok 10/10.

every server; a brief summary
there are awesome people
and there are trolls

Leviathan here. And between the community and the insane volume of RMT spammers, I'm changing servers as soon as possible. 3/10.
To be truthful I'm keeping an eye on this thread to gauge other servers' communities.
I play on Brynhildr. The community pre end game is great after you get to raiding and endgame content you have a lot of toxic people on the server. That may be everywhere but I am tired of people telling me to play my game the way they want me to. "Get out of cleric stance. Have you died yet? nope. No then." It is especially hard being a tank in end game there is no end to the criticism you get even on a flawless run, "Pull faster Ohmygawdz sooooooo slow." Then again that is everywhere.

Shinryu 9/10. Friendly JP people even with gaijin. The price in market board is normal too.
