Which server do you play on, and how would you rate FFXIV's community?

Well someone's a little jaded, lol.

Famfrit here, and even the trolls make the community fun to a degree. It wouldn't be as interesting if it was all rainbows and butterflies with unicorns vomiting glitter. I enjoy the community, and invite more people to do the same no matter who or what they are. I represent and run the largest English LGBT ORIENTED FC (not just friendly, but driven specifically to represent the LGBT community) in the game, and the overwhelming acceptance and celebration of an FC with the tag <G.A.Y> speaks volumes of the server we represent. We are at over 250 members strong, with friendly branch FCs totaling over 400 LGBT players on the server. Further, the majority of members who have passed through our FC, especially those that have created FCs of their own, remain friends to this day. This is a great helpful community, and just like all communities, there are occasionally a few bad apples. However, even they are acceptable by comparison to what else is out there in other games.

I find the community in the last MMO I played (The Secret World), to be both the most mature and most fun community of any MMO I've played. I found SWTOR's community, which I played occasionally while I played TSW, to also be great. They don't have to have frequent trolls and jerks to be interesting and fun, just saying

I would rate FF14's community as: "Fresh, new, but with lots of ignorance towards other MMOs".

What I mean by that is that right now the community is only a couple years old and as a result there is not as much elitisim and stagnation that other communities have (such as WoW). This is good. However I would also say that for a lot of players this is probably their first MMO and as a result I see a lot of ignorant comments made by them, such as "dps meters are bad" "Nothing can be done about RMT" and "Elitist means good things".

Overall Id give FF14s community a 7.5 out of 10 right now.

I play on Lich. Very nice server. Personally I haven't run into many jerks on the server or even in the DF. (Obviously there's always a few bad apples.)
This is the first MMO I've really been socially active in, however.

Balmung here. Balmung is the friendliest server and community I ever been on in any MMO. I love the server and it's people.
I'll STILL never forget that Snowman that gave me Mulled Tea and a Vivi Cookie out of random.
I've originally been in Levi...they're pretty nice as well just not as nice as Balmung. Left once, back to Levi, was usually alone and eh, got bored, went back again as of last year and having tons of fun. I enjoy the random RP's to read here and there
and I've met someone really awesome people and someone that's incredibly close to me.

But that does not go without saying that the talk about people ERPING are not true, because it is. I've seen yet another Miqote male couple the other day soooo close to each other it's not even funny lol...His back to the guy forward under the waterfalls and I was just afking and came back to that and he MT by blushing or something...I'd assume they were doing stuff...I don't wanna know... was laughing hard and then they left LOL but they don't say their actions in public much...some harmless flirting is what I usually see.

I gave it a 5. This is the first MMO i played. I don't know anything about the community to other MMO.

Currently on Diabolos and the place is toxic. I truly regret moving here for a friend of mine. I miss Sartaganas so much. I would head back but it is such a hassle when you are over their gil transfer cap by a good margin.
