Which server do you play on, and how would you rate FFXIV's community?

I'm on Coeurl, and despite the gross amounts of RMT spam i get, the people are nice.

I am on Moogle EU. I would say that in my personal experience, the community of my server and often data centre are fairly negative. Moogle is half English, half French. I feel that in general, when Duty Finding any piece of content you are tasked with at least 1 (usually more) player who meets one of these requirements: Outright rude, ignorant, lazy and/or AFK, selfish, trolls who intentionally disrupt the content by causing wipes, abrasive, low skill (in high level content).

Of course there are also nice people, but often times those players are part of a smaller clique which is fine permitting you are part of said clique, otherwise you will rarely play with or interact with these people.

To generate results that are more useful you might want to split your poll into two different sections. As it stands, you are asking the reader to rank the community relative to other games ('The best MMORPG community I've ever been a part of' etc) and to quantify the effect of that experience on their gameplay ('More often than not, a positive experience' etc) in a format that makes these things mutually exclusive when they need not be.

I'm mostly asking people to rate the community from their perspective on a 1-10 scale, the comments I wrote on the poll are just to give an idea of possibly what that number means. So saying the community is a 10/10 for you is saying the game has the greatest community the voter has ever been involved with, in and outside of gaming.

DF is based around data center not server :P , but yeah 5 for moogle here , some nice ppl , and some really nasty ones...

I'm on Balmung and we don't get much RMT due to the server being full. The people on Balmung are pretty nice. We have good old Ramrodicus Maximus too. He is pretty funny and if you see him in shout stick around something good will come out of it. It's a NA Legacy server so it's almost always full if you want to get in you have to try around 2am-8am CST is when I usually have my friends create new characters to join me. At the same time this really does cut down on the RMT /tells and shouts. There is always at least 10+ things going on in Party Finder. We have some good Hunt and Coil Progression LS and FC. I run a laid back social FC called Moogle Tails but we are very active and most of the time when we run into rude players it's in DF. So I'd say Balmung is very friendly and I do love the community even if some of you are mean. The awesome people are in far greater numbers than the rude people that I've encountered.

Currently Balmung. Formerly Famfrit, Leviathan and Hyperion.

The people on Balmung, so far, are much friendlier than the people on Famfrit and Leviathan. I hardly spent any time on Hyperion, so I don't really have an opinion. I would say the worst community I've been a part of was on Leviathan.

The other huge plus of Balmung is the almost non-existent RMT. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE not getting tells, shouts and friend requests all the time from spambots.

Lamia server: More often than not, a positive experience.

XIV does not have the best gaming community I've ever been in; that went to FFXI. Partly nostalgia, partly due to the more casual nature of XIV attracting a different kind of player.
