T9 and LB3

Hello, me and my FC mates just got up to T9 (yea, we are a bit late to the party, we know XD)

We can easily do the first 2 phases (we got 4 meteors drop).
But we don't have LB3 (or enough DPS, i think?) to skip the 3rd HF and/or the second Ghost!

Can you give some advices about that?

Our static composition is:
WAR, PLD (MT), 2 WHM (we are working on getting a SCH), 3 DRG, 1 BLM

We don't have the best group, i know, but most of my fc mates has only 1 job maxed out, so.. ^^'

Now, besides the fact that we should have a better "variety" of jobs, should we be good to go? (given the fact that we get 4 meteors for example).
Or we should just give up and go for a different group?

Make the mages spam sprint as much as they can to build LB.

Oh and ditch the off tank. If either the war or the pld can change to a dps that will make your life easier, if for some reason you can't, make the war wear dps accessories and stat up str. T9 is easily solo tanked, there is no reason to dual there at all.

Leave 2 melee on Nael full time. Put the WAR,one melee and the BLM on the ghost. You should only see one ghost. Or just LB2 Nael since the ghost melts.

Can your WAR switch to dps, or at least put STR accessories on and go full dps mode?

It can be cleared with just LB 2 on nael, you will see one ghost.

With current gear, you should be able to push into the next phase without needing an LB at all, especially with 3 DRGs in the party. What does everyone's ilvl look like?

If you do need an LB to push, though, a melee LB2 should be more than enough. LB Nael immediately after the supernovas go out during the second Heavensfall and you should be good.

Your group composition is absolutely doable DPS-wise. My only suggestion would be that you solo tank it, because that will add one more DPS to the mix. Four meteors is pretty good, though! If you can get four meteors, you can definitely skip the 2nd add.

Well guys, thank you for all the answers!

I've got to say that i don't get where is the problem then, if you all say that is doable like that, and even without LB... (we keep failing at that phase.. if we focus the Boss we get to phase 4 with an Add.. if we focus on killing adds we get to the third HF and we wipe)

The ilvl is really high, around 120 average.

I think we'll try to go for Solo Tank and see where we get

As other people have said, you only really need one or two DPS on the add to get it down. The others should stay on Nael and just keep DPsing her.

Also, since you have 3 DRGs, they will all have their full openers up once Nael drops back down after Megaflare. Make sure to take advantage of that-- I can get all the way through my opener to the second Heavy Thrust by the time the add shows up. This entire fight is very friendly to DRG rotations, so when they get comfortable with the mechanics, they should be able to do some very solid DPS.

A lot of it is honestly just getting comfortable with the fight. Your DPS in general will naturally go up as you get the mechanics down.

is pld picking up both adds, is war does not have dps class just have him dps during ghost phase as well if they arnt already. You can always caster lb 2 as well both, or melee lb ghost

yes it is.
every buff you activate does build a tiny amount of LB. It may seem insignificiant but if all casters utilize sprint frequently it can definitely make LB go faster.
