I cant get my Chocobo past level 5 - please help!

Hello everyone-

I have my chocobo maxed out at level 5, used all the attribute points, took her out of the stables, did some high and low level fates but she just wont jump to level 6!

Can anyone out there please help me?

Is your log stating that your chocobo is gaining exp when you kill things? Is his exp bar rising when you check on the Companion menu?

Have you tryed turning it off and on again?

Jokes aside, I am afraid that I have never heard of a Chocobo that get stuck on a certain lvl (below 10 that is).

no my chocobo isn't gaining any xp at all.

I assume you have tried killing a non-fate monster that is comparable to your own level? ie: killing a beastman in their stronghold if you are level 50.

FATE's might not be the best way to get chocobo EXP...

Just an assumption as to why your Bo isn't getting any EXP but...

This is how chocobo EXP works. You yourself must either claim the monster (Red Name) OR on a Purple Name claimed monster accumulate enough dps/hate on a monster to get credit for the kill and receive EXP. If your character does not get enough credit on non-claimed monsters (Purple Name) this means your Bo won't get any EXP either (Chocobo's do NOT get the Bonus EXP from finishing a FATE, only players do).

If you are level 50 your EXP will be invisible since you cannot obtain anymore at this time, but if you are getting credit for kills the log window will show your Bo getting EXP.

My suggestion would be to go kill some random monsters to see if your Bo gains EXP from them. It is stuff that you are sure to get credit on since you are by yourself and not competing over monster credit in a FATE.

Also Bo's level up REALLY slow...so keep an eye on the Companion tab to see if the EXP bar is filling up, there is also numbers showing how much EXP you gained / how much EXP you need to rank up.

Kill higher level monsters if you aren't getting exp. If that doesn't work contact a gm.

chocobos level really slow so mayb thats why?? only way i level my chocobo is challenge log each week lol

The mobs you kill have to be around the same level as your character (level 50 mobs for a level 50 toon) that might be the problem.
