Oh i never said they don't exist. Quite the opposite. Contact lenses have existed as long as the technology to blow glass into small enough sizes has existed. The problem is, they were made of GLASS. Current contact lenses are made using plastic (among other things)
have you at any point seen anything actually made out of plastic in the game?
    Yeah
Before plastic, contact lenses were literally tiny shards of glass you crammed into your eyes.
So our options, lacking plastic, are currently glass (which is hideously impractical for situations other than sitting around) or body parts from other creatures. Which is...squicky.

There are other options that can be handwaved into existence such as manipulating aetheric properties to change the color of the eyes, but contact lenses? Nuh uh

I really would like to see this option as well.

It's clearly not a lore issue, being that this is not a historical recreation. This is a world of magic and steampunk crossed with medieval themes.

    Contacts are contacts.

Are we really using lore as an excuse for not implementing something that people want but that would lower cash shop sale? Are we? Are we? Potatobrains. :-P
<For slowpokes who didn't finish story yet even it is out for so long this might be actually... maybe.. probably not... considered spoiler>We can cook meal for dead sultan girl but we cannot have a contact lens? Okey. <End of spoiler>

I've said this in another thread about this same thing some time ago.

It doesn't even have to be contacts, and I would prefer it not to be contacts because I'd rather not be running around with the thought of "My character is wearing color contacts" in the back of my head.

The most simple way to do it would just be to explain it as an eye drop that is capable of altering the eye color. "Realistic" or not, this is NOT a realistic game, it does not NEED to stick to realism and only what is currently a thing in the real world. It's a Fantasy world, where something such as this via alchemy/magic/whatever would be completely possible.

I think anything related to color needs to be in the aesthetician, i.e. skin color, eye color, hair color, lip, makeup, etc.

However, if you want to change faces, eye shapes, body size, race, gender, etc. that is what should remain Fantasia only.

This seems like a reasonable request. I can't imagine in a land of magic and dragons why a person wouldn't be able to at least change the color of their eyes?

First and foremost, yes to this idea. Let us change the eye color without having to pay.

Second, this game is NOT medieval-renaissance fantasy. It's high fantasy which many people confuse for medieval-renaissance like fantasy. There are differences.

We're talking about a world where they built an artificial MOON. I think they can handle eye color changes (yeah, yeah that was the Allagans, but still. And the Garleans have a lot of technology).

What about alchemical eye drops or something?

Not very customer friendly to put eye color change behind a paywall. Most people aren't going to pay real money just for an eye color change in game for the sole reason that they don't feel it's reasonable to have to do so. It's not about who can or can't pay... I can afford to buy a $20 can of soda in the real world but I'm not going to. So the other option of course is to just not do it. And so we have people not doing something they want to do, and would otherwise choose to do, at no expense to SE, but for the fact they want to charge the really small number of people who would be willing to purchase a Fantasia for eye color change alone. I'm happy with what I've selected for my main characters eye color and I wouldn't change it anyway, but I see little justification in denying this to people. For my alt I actually think the way their eye color looks in the game just isn't what it seemed to be in the character creation screen and I would have changed it by now if it didn't require me to use the Fantasia I'm saving up for when Au Ra comes out.
