Much better option, particularly in simple dungeon content, is "Hey, I'm only i80, and I see you all are in Ironworks/Dreadwyrm, other person of my class. Should items drop, can I have them?" Most people agree, and I've seen dungeons where everyone just passed on EVERYTHING for a polite lower-geared player. Of course, if someone says "No, I need gear too, for (seals for relics, Desynth, glamor)" then you can't get mad. That is a valid play style choice. I will say I tend to call out people who need on pink items in 15-45 dungeons when someone in the party could actually use the upgrade, cuz the seals are trivial, the glamor can be gotten cheap, and there are better desynth options.
Nope nope nope. This idea has been rehashed a million times already. You don't get to decide what purpose gear is more important for. There's a ton of uses for dungeon gear besides just wearing it and all if those uses have value. You also don't get special privileges because your gear is bad.

If you want the item, just speak up. If not, I usually roll for it. However, if I win a piece though, I usually pass all the rest of the items.

No thanks. I usually greed if it's not an upgrade as long as everyone else does. If one person needs an item that isn't an upgrade, then I need everything I can in order to guarantee drops.
