It was simple, my seven raid mates were depending on me. It was our first night ever in Turn 9, and only I could stand up to Nael. To me, thats what tanking is all about; you steel yourself and endure for the sake of your friends. So we fought hard, like a team, and after our due wipes we did it. As for me? I loved every second of the struggle along the way. The entire Turn 9 experience is my favorite Eorzean Memory.

My fiance (then boyfriend) and I were celebrating our fifth year together as ARR celebrated its first anniversary. The game has helped us a lot, since we're in a long distance relationship and see each other once a year, and I told him that I want to watch fireworks with him in person one day. He visited in October and proposed to me, had our Eternal Bond ceremony in December, and I got to be with him for the first time on New Year's Eve where he lit fireworks for us to watch. Come whatever Heavensward brings, we're ready to face it together.

The lure of 2.x is what brought my Linkshell over from XI, and all 1.x I spent saving for the fabled housing system, squirreling away a good 56M. Then came the 1/10 reduction, but surely 5M could buy a house, right!? Alas, all that saving could afford was a cardboard box on Pearl Lane. After many months of farming, we finally got our house. Or rather, our plot of land. Then came the housing permit and determining what housing exterior we wanted. Thus we went racing through the Lavender Beds in force, checking other houses before voting. Many neighbors were alarmed when they zoned out of their homes to find an entire FC in their yard debating the merits of a Stone Exterior Wall. Raptor Sinew housewarming gifts and other random-junk-in-one's-inventory changed hands. At long last, we got our house!
