OH MAH GAWD NOT THIS THREAD AGAIN
Guess what game design is about creating roadblocks and challenges so that the player has goals to achieve.
In XIV all the teles are taken away from you as goals so are hundreds of spells also maps are taken away airship pass is taken away. And they wonder why nobody is playing the game?!
Honestly what is there to achieve because all the areas and every piece of content requires little or no player involvement. Everybody thinks they want everything right away but games are about the need for a reward and the real reward should be the action of achieving those goals.
Think of it this way if you really were given a lvl capped character in all classes with the best gear and every possible bonus there is to achieve with millions of gil. What would you do in this game and more importantly for how long would you keep doing it?
This isn't FFXI. This game is being created not only for people who play the FF series, but for a wider MMO audience. FFXI is archaic. In XIV all the teles are taken away from you as goals so are hundreds of spells also maps are taken away airship pass is taken away. And they wonder why nobody is playing the game?!
I think this really boils down the main concern of those who are against being givin everything. I want to earn my power, I want the journy to be rewarding.
That is "Fun" to me.
Q_Q, Q_Q, Q_Q, Q_Q, Q-Q, Q_Q.
Here we go, and it begins.
