Guess what game design is about creating roadblocks and challenges so that the player has goals to achieve.

In XIV all the teles are taken away from you as goals so are hundreds of spells also maps are taken away airship pass is taken away. And they wonder why nobody is playing the game?!

Honestly what is there to achieve because all the areas and every piece of content requires little or no player involvement. Everybody thinks they want everything right away but games are about the need for a reward and the real reward should be the action of achieving those goals.

Think of it this way if you really were given a lvl capped character in all classes with the best gear and every possible bonus there is to achieve with millions of gil. What would you do in this game and more importantly for how long would you keep doing it?
