Last I knew we did have to attune to crystal before you can tele there. And some of those are a challenge to get to. Camp cooked fork comes to mind. The OP's point isn't that "Walking is hard"
He intends to emphasize that in 11 you needed to FIRST get the teleport before you could be ported there. In essence creating a certain accomplishment for taking the time and effort to obtain a location.
In 14, you do not need to do this prerequisite, in essence, making it "easier" to accomplish the same thing.
I think you took the wrong thing away from his post.

The camps do need to be attuned, but someone can take you with them initially. The gates, however, must be manually ran to and attuned.

I agree with you Davorok (nice clip btw =P but why the hell is a breast feeding tutorial in the related videos o_O)
Not everyone will opt to take the easy teleport route, in fact all the newbies we've been getting in the ls lately have insisted on getting places themselves. Not everyone feels accomplishment over the same things you do and the option remaining open satisfies everyone. Some people will want to get somewhere on their own to have fun on a trip, some people want to get somewhere fast to get down to business quickly, and both should be allowed what they want.

Exploration is up to your own devices.
Sorry you don't get a massive ego boost for it because other people can choose to forgo it.
/thread

So according to you a good game is one that comes with cheat codes where you can choose to skip any part of it any time you want??
again... that calls for
quick level button
kill boss in 1 hit button
i mean that way you can choose to just experiance the story and skip the grind... right?
Mew!

Azury your flawed logic is endless.
You get out of the game what you put into it.
On matters of economy and possible monopolies you might have a point because that actually effects other peoples play.
Teleports and inst-airship OPTIONS do not. Stop putting words in other people's mouths.

Some people like playing their games with strategy guides and action replay.
Your assumption is brought up way too much and is quite the extreme.

Azury is correct.Azury your flawed logic is endless.
You get out of the game what you put into it.
On matters of economy and possible monopolies you might have a point because that actually effects other peoples play.
Teleports and inst-airship OPTIONS do not. Stop putting words in other people's mouths.
Where does the logic of "up to your own devices." end?
Because ANYTHING could be "up to your own devices."
so could:
Exploring,
Questing,
Joining Linkshells
Crafting
The whole game?
You cant single out exploring and ignore everything else to support your claim.

It ends at matters of economy and things that effect other people.
I said that in the post.
Read it.
I also was keeping my post on topic and focusing on exploration. I'm not going to, nor did I ever say that "my logic" applies to the entire game. You are also putting words in my mouth.
Surprisingly you both have been very good contributors to the knowledge base of XIV. Azury with her level up guides, Mog with your enmity videos and dungeon fights.
Why you have to tread on other people's play styles when the option remains for you to play differently I'll never get.

Exploration is not the same thing as travel.
Lets get that straight.
I want a NON trivial method of transport.
Instant travel should be a luxury.
The rest of this thread I could give a crap less about.
