Accomplice: increase maximum distance to target

It happens to me a lot.

I want to Accomplice a mage or archer in distress, but when I do, I have to move out of position in order to get close enough to use it on them.

Since a situation like this is often a panic situation where seconds count, it can be the difference between saving the day or wiping the party.

I say Accomplice's maximum target distance should be increased.

    Harumph!

At first, I was of the same opinion as you. However, I have since had some reservations about it.

Increasing the range would make playing an archer or mage even easier, to the detriment of the other melee DD classes.

If an archer or mage gets hate, which is the tradeoff for being such useful classes, then it should fall down to that ranged class to know how to play well, and come closer to the tank when his enmity is high in order to get accompliced.

I got to agree with Rent on this one. Hate/enemity is everyones job. I am a fan of letting them die, then clarifying that they were allowed today intentionally and that it will continue to happen if they keep over dueing it.

I was In a raptor party the other day and we had a pug tanking who was taking off toward the next mob when the raptor hit 5%-7% to keep up a fat pace. We had an archer that kept taking off with him. The archer ws often attcking before the pug could get there. I remember the pug saying in group chat that it was incorrect to do that (basically trying to politely educae him in case he was unaware) and the guy got mad and told him to shut up and not tell him how to play his archer.

In party chat, I told our pug, "if he wants to play it that way, stop peeling the mob off him and let him die." the archer tossed up a few choice words for both of us. We went on and I stopped spamming my heals to keep the archer alive (I was healing as con, which is why I felt I had a stake in this issue) 5 mobs and his 3rd death later (about 2-3 minutes) he was telling us all how bad of players "we were" and tossing up choice words at us as he stated how we will be blacklisted from all the servers top LS's. Yeah, scared us all to death......Point is, it got rid of him and the isue left with him.

It's so depressing to see something like that happened on Besaid =/

But yeah, the hate bar is there for a reason. Just because there's a PGL in the party doesn't mean you should just let loose and expect your Pugilist to accomplice it. I have no problem using Accomplice on an Archer/Mage, but what happens most of the time I'm doing something with Archers is

    1.) They pull hate
2.) They continue to shoot as if they didn't pull hate.
3.) They start complaining at the fact that they have hate but do absolutely nothing to shed it.

Increasing the distance of Accomplice isn't going to fix that.

I believe accomplice needs to be a longer range. During certain party position critical fights it can be difficult to impossible to use
