What was your character name during the FFXIV beta?

Personally, I wanted to name my character Rooster San, but my brother (having never played an MMO before), wanted to name it Spunky McFuntcuck. So I decided I'd take his dare and named my beta character as such. It's not the name of my actual character, but it's still funny.

my beta character called Robin Shirley, because i am a huge Anne Shirley fan but hate to just copypaste a famous name xD and i like the name Robin, sounds so tomboyish ^^

after the beta i learned about the naming rules for each race, so i created a new name.

For beta 3, I had a mi qote named "Marche Kolad" (dont ask me why- not even I know what was going through my head then...)

For beta 4, I had a lala name Iitori Sisitori, which was alot better, and I still use the name for my two retainers (twin lalas )

In FFXIV 1.0's beta, I was Emelyn Silvanesti.

- Emelyn to keep my love for FFXI alive~ For those who don't know, Emelyn was the name of Aldo's older sister that was attacked by Orc's in the opening cutscene of FFXI. What's funny is my cat's name is Aldo right now .

- And Silvanesti to show my love for Dragonlance. As Siivanesti was the name of a clan of elves known to follow the Speakers of the Stars, where the miqo'te I had made was a Keeper of the Moon. I honestly wish I had stayed such, but....circumstances...

I was not in 1.0 beta, but for 2.0 alpha I was Catara Mest. I decided I liked the name but brought it into lore alignment with Katarh, even though it's more or less pronounced the same. Mest is not one of the name generator Moonkeeper clan names, but there are still a handful of us out there, so my backstory was built around the idea of a shrinking clan on the brink of extinction that was merging with another clan and losing its name (which means everything to Moonkeepers.)

Created a new character because some friends picked up the game during 2.0 launch and were on a different server so I re-rolled on that server (leviathan), I was a Mi'qote

Altrage Clanclan (yes, a nod to Outlaw Star's Aisha Clanclan of the Kitaro Kitaro Empire)

now: Altrage A'uli (means 'of the blue/sea' used one of the many fantasia's they gave legacy players to change into a Highlander (got tired of the always stressed out looking rest positions of Male Mi'qote) and will change into Au Ra when they are launched!)

During the 2.0 beta I was Lucille Wallace, but the punny midlander version. I disliked the "princess-like" run and switched to highlander.
