FFXI-2?

FFXI-2, (YES, PLEASE)

However, it needs to be a single player sequel/prequel/spinoff of FFXI.

Vana'diel was amazing, and many of us FFXI veterans would love to be able to revisit it without having to spend insane amounts of time starting over with a new char. Not just that, but so many people missed out on the game because they didn't want to (or couldn't) invest in an MMO.

If SE made a single player (or limited multi-player) FFXI-2 game, I have no doubt it would sell amazingly well. (PS Vita perhaps?)

I want a game with as much dept as XI, a game that has as much longevity as XI, a game that has the difficulty of XI, a game that has a focus on group gameplay, and the game has long term goal which will keep me busy for years to come.

How every they accomplish that is fine with me. I would love something new. But that is what I want.. no so much XI-2 but a good mmo for once. Sick of playing mmos I beat in a few weeks or have to play alone.

If they're going to make FFXI-2 they can do it but don't turn FFXIV to XI-2

I wouldn't really want to be playing the same game all over again. There's a few things that bothered me about FFXI. But I would like to see this game become as lively and successful as XI was. I loved the game during it's prime and would love to go through it again.
Here's to hoping PS3 release will make the game bigger.

personally i think i do too, outside of long wait times for nm's and hnm's ... i think i would love a super dupper 50times as badass ffxi-2. everything in ffxiv should be bigger and badder then ffxi was in every way, it should of been improved everything and added in. i mean i don't want to feel like i'm playing ffxi cause i left that game bored ...but the core soul of it ...yes ffxi all the way. fak any other game to steal the soul of ffxiv.

IDK about that. Having recently completed the main story, it was not great. There were really 2 missions that i consider well done. the R38 and R46. Also, not a whole lot changed between beta and release. It's almost as if having a beta was pointless.

Also as far as YoshiP copying and pasting from XI, I couldn't disagree more. XI was so cruel to casual players it was borderline absurd. YoshiP panders to them.
