Tank samurai is going to happen, Mr.YP mentioned during PAX that Samurai was on the table. The two contenders were SAM and DRK, DRK won out because it fits best with the current lore. Far Eastern themes seem to hail from Doma which we only started getting acquainted with, so maybe deep into 3.0 we will see SAM.

We are about to learn a ton of stuff about Yuguri, and with that more about the combat arts of Doma. I'm excited to see how far they will go with the Far East theme in correlation to classes, what kind of healers and sorcerers hail from Doma?

When Heavensward hits they will probably start looking to making these decisions if they haven't already thought about it.
