I've been hearing that having a high level class (at least lvl 50) will grant bonus EXP for the other classes. Is this a fact?

You will get a boost of fifty percent if you level a class that is lower than your current highest leveled class.
For example if you have Archer at level 30 and you go to level your Pugilist, you will get a bonus of 50% until your Pugilist hits level 30.
This boost essentially becomes permanent once you get any class to level fifty (since it's the current highest level).

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
It's called armoury bonus and it only applies to combat classes (DoW/DoM)
Not at lv 50 either, just anything past lv 10 and it applies.
How it works is, if you are playing a class that is NOT your highest lvl combat class, you get a 50% exp bonus. Difference doesn't even have to be a full level.
Say your highest level class is lv 25 MRD with 90% of the exp bar filled.
Then when you play any other combat class below that level, you'll get a 50% boost until you get to level 25, 90% exp bar.
It's basically always permanent. Taking your example of ARC 30 giving PUG a bonus until PUG reaches 30, as soon as PUG surpasses the experience of ARC, the bonus would simply transfer. Then instead of PUG continuing to get the bonus, ARC would have it instead, because now PUG is your highest class. You still have the bonus on all but one of your combat classes, it's just a matter of trading off which ones.
Bit of a technicality but the above poster's example is a little incorrect. In that case you would only get a 50% boost until level 23 or so, and then the boost would diminish (you still get a boost, just not 50%).
Basically, to get the full 50% experience boost, your highest class needs to be 2+ levels higher than what you're leveling.
