I haven't seen this but I'm not level 50 yet. I have seen the fates in level 40 zones that are done and finished in a couple minutes. I'll be the only one there then 50 people pile in (it seems.) Fate parties, I guess. I did hear, though, that if you start the fate or are the first person in the fate to do damage that you get full credit regardless. So I try to hit up the ones that haven't been started yet, especially in zones that have those big fate groups that roam. I get good rewards even if I'm not in the group and do relatively little compared to them.

You get extra credit for being the first to aggro a boss (but not guaranteed full credit), and the same for single mobs. You're pretty much guaranteed gold rating if you're the first to aggro 8 or so enemies in the FATE (that you actually attack, not just run past...they have to turn red AND take damage from you) but starting a FATE doesn't give you any special credit.

There is no apostrophe in Au Ra.
Stop adding one three years later.

Too not steal contribution of the lowlvls I aggro mobs then stop dpsing (if its a fast going Fate) easier it is even to go unsynced healer and spam regen/cure/physick on the synced ppl

I think the level-sync feature may be a bit over-generous in the stats it leaves level-synced players with, at least for the really low levels. It might say you're level-synced to level 10 or 12 or whatever, but you'd still be doing more damage than an actual level 10 or 12 player likely would.

I'll generally try to avoid zerging through all the mobs if someone else is there, but if there are a bunch of other people there, that doesn't always work. (Even if we take only a few of the mobs each, it can turn competitive. Consider for instance, if 6 or more players are each trying to claim around a fifth of the mobs. There just aren't that many fifths.) Boss-type FATEs are usually a bit easier to ensure that everyone gets a chance, as nobody will be one-shotting those.

I still do various level fates for either alexander drops or light while i am in a area
Also having more players around does help lower level players

Because I love doing fates, and I love to help out the tiny few that are tackling a low level fate.

I think they put this mechanic in there (making 50s do low lvl fates for item gains) to make the low level places more populated. In FFXI that was a problem and coming form the same company I believe they are trying to avoid that. Starting grounds before the beach had only a few people and I would guess in the later years the beach was sparse (I played in 03). Also, they include some fate mobs (going back to 14 lol) that require a party and in thus the 50s help in that matter.

Ask to join their party/ create one. This way, regardless of who stroke more/harder, you ll get the full exp. Only benefits. Faster kills, faster level-ups.

    Good to know!

Challenge log probably. Finishing those two for the log gave me half a level at level 48 (well, I was rested and had food buff but I'm not certain if that matters for exp from the challenge log.)

I found no one would party up in Summerford. I did the fates there for Alex and only on 2 occasions did 1 other person buddy up. Alex grind changes people. After 30 Alex you turn into a souless being. After 65 you would sell your mother for those last few. So it does get pretty crazy, lower levels really don't have a good there in most fates.
