DEV Request: Red MAge with Gunblade.

I'm almost 100% sure we are getting a red mage ......justn ot sure when..in a patch or til 4.0 and what weapons. I like the moves you mentioned from 13 but not sure if I will like it as much as fencing class.....seems kinda lame to me.... are there any fencers in ff14? Once I saw the Garlean empire use a gunblade... i was like we need to have this in the game. It would be a HUGE MISSED opportunity.. since ff14 seems to be an accumulation of previous loved ff titles.

But would it make sense for red mage to have a gunblade in XIV? Red mage is generally known as a job that can use both white and black magic, as well as being fairly proficient with a sword. And while i'm not against or for giving rdm a gunblade (devs choice, i just want rdm), a gunblade isn't exactly a great fit for rdm in my opinion.

A gunblade job would most likely be it's own standalone job with non magic based skills, the skills would more than likely be centered around the use of a gunblade up close and from afar (depending on type,dunno if close only or can do both), whereas red mage would be more around the use of magical and physical abilities (depending on how the devs choose to make the job)..
