FFXIV Concept Art - Nice on SE

Hey Square Enix, I haven't seen a post on this but just wanted to encourage the concept art being dished out. Especially the grand company details with the leaders / judges. It's nothing short of impressive. The style is in my opinion right on the nail.

Keep the Lore and the Great Art coming.

Akihiko Yoshida who heads the art for FFXIV (not sure whether he drew them or not, they are his style though) has produced my favourite art from SE by quite a wide margin, the stuff he's done for 12 and 14 has been brilliant. I always look forward to seeing new things from him.

Akihiko Yoshida is easily my favorite game artist as well. He established the look of Vagrant Story, FFT, FFXII, FF:4HoL, and (almost) every Yasumi Matsuno game. Having him as the art director for FFXIV is next best thing to having this game set in Ivalice.

Though Amano and Nomura have been the main influences in the FF games in the past, Akihiko Yoshida's work represents is the essence of Final Fantasy (IMHO) and I hope that he will be the driving artistic force for it in the future.

From its conception, the art department in this game has been absolutely amazing.

I hope they realize that they could eventually recoup some of their hard-lost yen by putting some FFXIV Artbooks into production every couple of years.

Maybe we should try to get some steam going on Volume One: Prerelease Concepts ~ First Inception of FFXIV?
