    Angry Yea... okay.

Based upon recent suspicious activity, we have identified that your account may potentially be at risk. For your protection, we have temporarily suspended login access to this account.
Instructions for lifting this restriction have been sent to the email address registered to your Square Enix Account.

That moment when you are unable to log-in for some stupid random bull, and unable to verify your account through your email because not only can you not remember an email you haven't touched in over 360 days, but said email has been deleted (Hotmail deleted inactive accounts after 360 days, and then further unable to verify your account because you don't remember your security question/answer that is over 365 days old in which you've never had to remember once. Also, did I mention it is case sensitive? Can't believe wasted money on this with little service.

"suspicious activity" includes logging in from multiple computers or even multiple IP addresses, beyond 2 or 3. It isn't "random bull".

    This is for your protection.

SE provides ways to determine and change your old email info easily.

Never answer your secret questions with capitals, or never avoid capitals. Pick one.

I've talked to 2 live agents, and weren't able to fix this issue. The issue was, I know little about the email address I made for this account, because I was angry making the email. I must have went through the process 11-13 times because the registry was NOT accepting any of the emails. As I said, I do not remember the full email associated with the account. Was able to remember most of the email, but that isn't enough apparently. Am not able to remember the exact security question/answer. Been over a full year since I even thought about it.

In other words, this character is as good as erased. That's why I'm irritated. Multiple connections? You mean my Ps4 that I decided to update?! Like, seriously.

You just explained how you made a mistake. Your temper also seems to be easily compromised.

I know others who were able to resolve this by going through the ISP's support.

Have the old email access restored. Or provide enough information to SE that they can tell you what they know.

You still have paths ahead of you that can provide a solution, if you do some critical thinking.

You need not play the victim, but if you choose to, we aren't going to find us being very helpful.

My temper is offkilt because I do not remember the email. I don't remember the email. How can I have which I do not remember restored? I've already contacted 2 live agents today. One was able to help me remember the last 80% of my email, but wasn't able to further help me. If the email was still extent, I'd be able to at least spam different possible emails, but each and every one would just say the selected Hotmail address doesn't exist, even if I did enter the correct word in. The second person I talked to stopped midway through. Thanks Keith

The option they gave me was to remember the correct security question and answer combination. I have 4 possible answers. There are 4 questions. with capitals, that's what, 32 possible combinations. They want me to fill out the form, 32 possible times and give them 32 different ticket numbers.

Why is it "suspicious" when you're already logged in on PSN?

I also find this to be very annoying - and bafflingly enough it happens even if you've already authenticated yourself to PSN.

If PSN login is good enough for every other game on the PS3/PS4, why isn't it good enough for FFXIV?

I haven't played FFXIV on Steam, but the same idea should work there: if you're already logged into Steam, it really should not reset your password just because your location or IP address changed, and you really shouldn't have to enter an additional password for FFXIV every time you play.

Guessing you never had your account stolen, your character stripped of all the gear worth millions (or even billions) of gil, only to loose access to your account for 8 weeks or longer (and still having to pay for your subscription during that time frame) while SE investigated the situation, then eventually implemented your one-time-only restore option to recover your character to a point a week prior to the theft.

They have multi-tiered authentication in place for a reason.

So you used a different email for your FF forum account than your game account? If not, maybe your browser saves your PWs, so go see what email you used here in your browser settings.

No it is the same. This account doesn't let me the option to seek out the email–I've tried lol. I just have never logged out since logging in the first time last year july lol.
